GEORGE L. RANDALL Age 90 of Horseheads , NY formerly of Dundee , NY passed away on Tuesday November 7 , 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester , NY. George was born October 17 , 1927 in the Town Of Barrington , NY the son of the late Perry W. and Sylvia Ruth Phillips Randall . He attended Dundee Central Schools and graduated from Dundee High School . George worked for The Dundee Telephone and Telegraph Company after graduating from high school. He was a Korean War Veteran serving his country with The U.S. Army . George was a member of The Horseheads American Legion Post # 442 and Elmira Elks Lodge # 62 . He also served as a volunteer Fire- Fighter for the Dundee Fire Department and The Town & Country Fire Department. In addition to his parents , George was pre-deceased by his sister Dora Howell and Daisy Hall , his brother Floyd Randall , and his son Steven Cordier. George retired from Columbia Gas Transmission in Horseheads , NY . He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them . George's favorite place was his beloved cabin in Dundee. George had a wonderful retirement spending time with his wife , traveling and camping at Myrtle Beach , SC . He also spent many happy hours in his wood working shop building furniture for everyone in his family but is most known for building bird houses for everyone .George is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sandra L. Van Patten Randall ; his children : John Randall & Brenda Zelko of Elmira Heights , NY , Zoe Ann & Michael Sheahan of Lowman , NY , James Randall & Traci Basden of St. Louis , MO , and Tracey & Kevin O'Connell of Wilmington , NC ; Nine Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren ; his beloved dog Max ; brother : Charles P. Randall ; several brothers-in-law , sisters-in-law , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's Gravesite Services on Monday November 13 , 2017 at 10 AM in Hillside Cemetery in Dundee , NY .
