Obituary of Louis Richard Dildine

DILDINE , LOUIS R. Age 67 of Erin , NY passed away on Saturday January 10 , 2015 at Guthrie/Corning Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Louis was born February 12 , 1947 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Leo and Mary Sopp Dildine . He was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country with The U. S. Army . Louis married his wife , Elizabeth M. "Betty" Bellinger Dildine , on January 8 , 1977 and she pre-deceased on December 29 , 2014. Louis was a devoted husband , father , and grandfather . He had worked at Trayer Products in Elmira , NY . Louis is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law : Christy & William Hager of Addison , NY and Karrie & Matt Lewis of Horseheads , NY ; son: Chad Dildine of Erin , NY ; grandchildren : Peyton Hager , William Hager Jr. , and Hunter Hager all of Addison , NY and Tyler Lewis and Kaylee Lewis both of Horseheads , NY ; brother and sister-in-law : Alan & Rena Dildine of Beaver Dams , NY ; sisters and brothers-in-law : Jeanne & Ed Stafford of Florida and Annette & James Valentine of Arizona ; mother-in-law : Clara Harris Bellinger of Elmira Heights , NY ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law : Patricia & Jack Martin of Elmira , NY , Norman H. & Carolyne Bellinger of Horseheads , NY , and Samuel Bellinger and Michael Deep of Manhattan , NY ; several aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Thursday January 15 , 2015 from 6-8 PM . Louis' Funeral Serivces will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Louis will be laid to rest with his wife Betty in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY on Friday January 16, 2015 at 11 AM where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Dildine.
