Obituary of Patricia Anne Nichols

NICHOLS, PATRICIA ANNE (MELLIN) Age 64 peacefully passed away surrounded by family at Elcor Nursing Home on Wednesday June 3, 2015 after an extended illness. Pat was born October 19, 1950 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Herbert and Helen Gardner Mellin. She was pre-deceased by her infant brother William and brother-in-law David Peterson. Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Tammy Nichols of Erin, NY; daughter: Jeannette Nichols of Elmira, NY; grandson: Brent Nichols of Erin, NY; sisters: Linda Peterson of West Chester, PA and Beverly (Jared) Buckbee of Elmira, NY; nieces: Jeanne Buckbee of Elmira, NY and Kelley Buckbee-Lutcher of Guam; numerous great nieces and great nephews. Pat loved to do crafts, crochet, knit, playing cards and table games. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and watching movies. In the face of adversity she gave strength to all who came in contact with her. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Sunday June 7, 2015 from 4-5 PM. Pat's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 5 PM with the Rev. Leeann Zeck officiating. Pat will be laid to rest in Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin, NY at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Elcor Nursing Home Staff at Maple Creek Gardens for their loving care and consideration given Pat the last five years.
