Obituary of Kathryn Joyce Shroyer

SHROYER , KATHRYN JOYCE Age 82 of Groton, CT formerly of Elmira , NY passed away on Saturday July 30 , 2016 . Joyce was born March 1 , 1934 in Ralston , PA the daughter of the late John and Aleda Terribury Andrus . She was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1952. Joyce married her husband , Aaron Boyd Shroyer , on May 4 , 1957 and he pre-deceased her on June 9 , 2002. Joyce was also pre-deceased by Tina's father Robert C. Bunke in 1955; and her step- son Donald E. Shroyer in 1966 and by her granddaughter Tai-Lynn Castle in 1980, and by her daughter Julie Shroyer on July 27 , 2015. Joyce is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law : Tina & Tim Castle, Karen & George Shepard ,Lecia & Charles Mould , and Robin Buckland & Paul; sister : Helen Confer of Ralston , PA ; brother and sister-in-law : Kenneth & Alberta Andrus of Horseheads , NY ; grandchildren: Adam, Yahna, Timothy, Shaun, Holly, Tabatha, Victoria, Jason, Andrew, Kyle, Jessica, Baret, Caitlyn; great grandchildren , great great grandchildren , nieces , nephews , cousins , and long time friend Betty Lou Aiken and many others. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET on Monday August 15, 2016 from 12 Noon until 1 PM. Joyce's Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband Aaron in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY.
