Obituary of Flora M. Halpin

HALPIN , FLORA M. Age 95 of Pine Valley, NY passed away on Sunday September 11 , 2016 . Flora was born May 31 , 1921 in Ilion , NY the daughter of the late Elmer M. and Alvina Honeybaum Baldock. Flora was a beautician and had owned Flora's Beauty Shop in Caton , NY . She married her late husband Richard W. Halpin on August 19 , 1982 and he pre-deceased her on November 10 , 2009 . She was also pre-deceased by her brothers Elmer L. Baldock and Frederick Baldock. Mrs. Halpin was a member of The Pine Valley United Methodist Church and a former member of The Order of Eastern Star. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Flora is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law : Charles & Elizabeth Buckland Jr. of McAllen , Texas , Gerald L. & Shirley Buckland of Dryden , NY , Leonard R. & Charlotte J. Buckland of Elmira , NY , and Robert A. Buckland of Horseheads , NY ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren , great-great grandchildren , nieces, nephews , grand nieces , grand nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to attend Flora's Gravesite Services on Wednesday September 21 , 2016 at 11 AM at Pine Valley Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Richard W. Halpin . Rev. Fred Dyer will officiate. It was Flora's wishes that she be remembered through memorial donations to The Pine Valley United Methodist Church 519 Pine Valley Road Pine Valley , NY 14872 or The S.P.C.A.
