Obituary of Richard D. Stewart

STEWART , RICHARD D. JR. Age 66 of Breesport, NY passed away on Monday December 5, 2016. Richard was born on March 5, 1950 in Fort Jackson, S.C. the son of Richard D. and Marie Leclercq Stewart. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country for 2 tours in Vietnam in the U.S. Army as a Door Gunner. Richard was a Truck Mechanic for Penske Trucking Leasing in Elmira, NY. He really enjoyed hunting and fishing. Richard is survived by his loving wife Carole R. Morley Stewart whom he married April 9, 2005; son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Leslie Stewart of Phoenix, AZ; step-children: Stephen and Christina Stalcup of Delta, PA and Kristen Totten of Fort Hood, TX; 11 grandchildren; mother : Marie Stewart of Pultney , NY ; brother and sister-in-law: Ralph and Susie Stewart of Beaver Dams, NY; sister and brother-in-law: Rose Marie and Vic Card of Pultney, NY ; mother-in-law: Connie Morley of Millport, NY; brother-in-law: Matt and Joy Morley of Chevy Chase, MD; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Saturday December 10, 2016 from 10AM-12Noon . Richard's Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 12Noon with Rev. Fred Dyer officiating. Interment in Millport Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Stewart.
