Obituary of Linda L. Patrick

PATRICK , LINDA L. Went Soaring on the Wings of Angels on Thursday March 30 , 2017 . Linda was born in Rush , PA the daughter of the late Clarence F. and Geraldine J. Anderson Van Winkle. She was also pre-deceased by her brother Floyd Van Winkle. Linda was a Registered Nurse at The Corning Hospital for many years . She became the first Administrator of Founder's Pavilion and served in that position for over 21 years of dedicated and compassionate service to its residents . Linda enriched people's lives in every community she lived in and served on The New York State Board of Elderly Care and was Past President of The Big Flats Historical Society. Linda loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband Charles W. Edmister ; her children Colleen McLean (C.J.) of Corning , NY , Maureen Crispell (Kenneth) of Arlington, Texas , and Kelly Patrick (Gina Golden) of Elmira , NY ; five grandchildren Jessica Buckland , Chad Buckland ( Tiffany) , Brittany Watros (Matthew) , Jade Crispell , and Sarah Crispell ( Dustin Lilie) ; four great grandchildren ; brother : Gerald Van Winkle (Ellen) of Wilton , NH ; step-children : Katrina Lourdiane of Elmira Heights , NY , Brenda Harrison of Inverness , Florida ; step grandchildren : Zachary Gunderman , Ryan Gunderman , Louisa Lourdiane , and Laysa Lourdiane ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law : Raymond "Tom" Edmister of Conklin , NY and Pastor Fred & Jane Edmister of Webb Mills , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Monday April 3 , 2017 from 2-4 PM . Linda's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home following calling hours at 4 PM with Rev. James Radford officiating . Linda will be laid to rest in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats , NY .
