Obituary of Robert D. Hall

ROBERT D. HALL Age 71 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday January 13, 2018. Robert was born on July 23, 1946 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Ernest and Bertha Freelove Hall. Mr. Hall was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country with the U.S. Army. He married his wife Dianne Dupree Hall on September 17, 1966 and they recently celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary on September 17 , 2017. He was a member of The Clarence R. Oliver American Legion Post # 154 in Elmira Heights and a Life-Time of The Vietnam Veterans of America. Bob loved fishing, playing cards, painting and was a local musician playing in several bands. Bob retired as a Chemist for Corning Inc. He was pre-deceased by his parents and sister Marjorie Ames and his brother Richard Hall, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald J. and Eleanor H. Dupree, brother-in-law Donald R. Dupree and sister-in-law Darla Liggett. Mr. Hall is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years wife Dianne Dupree Hall; sons and daughters-in-law: Christopher and Andrea Hall of Horseheads, NY and Marshall and Wassia Hall of Elmira, NY; grandchildren: Joshua, Abigail, Lindsey, Cameron, Zayden, Zha-Niyah, Zyon, Zariyah; his four-legged friends Buster and Havoc sisters: Delores Waters of Horseheads, NY and Beverly Baliant; sister-in-law: Joanne (Mrs. Richard) Hall; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law : Sharon Nitterour , Gary& Darlene Dupree , Mariann and Steve Graley , Rick Dupree , Bonnie Barber , Carol Singer & Bill; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends including his long-time "Band Buddy" and best friends Keith & Cathy Moore . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday January 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mr. Hall's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 PM where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Hall.
