Obituary of Margaret Wolfe

WOLFE Margaret June Brown Age 84 formerly of Elmira Heights , NY passed away on Friday September 16 , 2011 in Auburn , Alabama. Margaret was born June 30 , 1927 in Dunkirk , NY the daughter of the late Ethelbert and Carrie Altman Brown . The family moved to Elmira Heights , NY in the 1930's . She graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1946 . Margaret married her husband , Carlton Wilbur Wolfe , on September 9 , 1951 and they recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. She was a long-time member of The Oakwood United Methodist Church and a huge Auburn University football fan. Margaret was pre-deceased by her oldest son Richard and by her sister Ruth Brown Fleming. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by her husband of 60 years Carlton ; her children William Wolfe of Auburn , Alabama , Patricia Larson of Kent , WA , Donald Wolfe of Reeltown , Alabama , and Jeffrey Wolfe of Marietta , GA ; grandchildren : Kenneth Larson and Victoria Wolfe ; sisters : Mary Jane Brown of Elmira Heights , NY and Doris Brown Knight of Bradford , PA ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at The Oakwood United Methodist Church 212 Oakwood Avenue Elmira Heights , NY on Saturday September 24 , 2011 from 12 to 1 PM . Margaret's Funeral Services will follow calling hours at 1 PM with The Rev. Patricia L. Brown officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira , NY .
