Margaret "Dolly" Bixby age 79 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital. Dolly was born July 3, 1945 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Bertram J. and Naomi Bly Bernd. She was a graduate of Horseheads High School. Dolly married her husband , Clarence F. Bixby Jr. , on February 24, 1968 and he pre-deceased her on March 1, 1998. She loved being a stay at home mom raising her children. Dolly later worked part-time at Iszard's and Zeigler Florist. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Dolly is survived by her children Michael and Danielle Bixby of Erin , NY , Brian Bixby and his girlfriend Maria Vanderpool of Horseheads, NY , Ron and Lauren Bixby of Myrtle Beach, SC , and Linda and Donald Boom of Horseheads, NY ; brothers : Michael Bernd and wife Karen Hunt Keenan and Terry Bernd and girl friend Mary Scherner of Florida ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren , nieces, nephews, and a host of caring friends. It was "Dolly"s wish that there be no prior calling hours. Private Funeral Services will be held at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS ,NY at the convenience of the family.
