Obituary of Frederick William Hartman Jr

Frederick William "Bucky" Hartman Jr. age 68 formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday April 8 , 2025 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center . Bucky was born December 29, 1956 in Elmira ,NY the son of the late Frederick W. Hartman Sr. and Janet Scogsburg Hartman. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class 1975 and a member of the Horseheads High School Choir. Bucky was a Master Counselor at DeMolay. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Geneseo State and received his Master's degree from Cleveland Institute of Music. Bucky was pre-deceased by his parents and his sister Maggie Hartman on June 14, 1979. He was also pre-deceased by several aunts, uncles , and cousins. Bucky owned and operated The Little Lake Inn in Odessa, NY and was later a bar manager for Beefeater's in Horseheads. He was a well known vocalist in the area and was blessed with a beautiful voice. The family would like to thank the staff at The Falls Home in Montour Falls, NY for their excellent care of Bucky. He loved his family and was a friend to all. Bucky is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law: Faith "Petie" Hartman and Stick Martin of Elmira Heights, NY and Linda Easton and her loving companion Fred of Flemingisle, Florida ; nephews: Steven Easton and Scott Easton ; several aunts , uncles , cousins , and a host of caring friends including his uncle and aunt Ernie and Sheila Hartman of Horseheads, NY. There will be no prior calling hours. Bucky's Gravesite Services will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2025 at 1 PM. Words of Condolence and Memories may be shared at www.lynchsfuneralhome.com .
