Vitalii Zakhaiko Age 76 of Horseheads, NY passed away on June 10, 2025. He was a Medical Doctor specializing in Neurology in Ukraine where he was born. In the first days of the Chernobly Station accident he went there to help those that were there. He was decorated for his Bravery and Care. He was born in Ladyzhyn, Ukraine the son of Gryoriy Zakhovaiko and Hanna Bessarab Zakhovaiko. Both of his parents were teachers. Vitalii is survived by his wife Tamara Grin Zakhovaiko; daughters and sons-in-law: Natalya and Eduardo Mendez; Valentyna and Pierre Philibert; five grandchildren: Tamara and Mark Mendez, Yrann, Margot and Klara Philibert..
