Obituary of Jo Ellen O'Dell

Jo Ellen O'Dell age 66 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Jo was born December 11, 1958 in Elmira , NY the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Stanton Lane. She was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class of 1977. Jo married her husband William H. O'Dell on July 29, 1980 and they would have celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on July 29, 2025. Jo had worked as a Dietary Supervisor at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY . She loved crosstitching and loved her dog Lucky. Jo is survived by her husband William H. O'Dell ; daughter and son-in-law: Billie Jo and Mike Brown of Hampton, Virginia and grandchildren Jayce Brown and Layton Brown; brother and sister-in-law: Thomas and Terri Lane of Dayton, Nevada; niece Mary Lane Croft ; her beloved dog Lucky ; many extended family members and friends including Mark , Brady , Terry , and Christopher's families. It was Jo's wish that there be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Jo's Life will be held at The Big Flats American Legion Post # 1612 45 Olcott Road South Big Flats, NY on Sunday July 27, 2025 from 1 to 4 PM.
