Madeline Pease age 97 of Painted Post, NY formerly of Big Flats, NY passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025. Madeline was born on July 22, 1928 in Big Flats, NY the daughter of the late Raymond Benjamin and Genevive Markle Benjamin. She married her husband Norman Pease on September 28, 1947 and he pre-deceased her on June 1, 2022, just shy of their 75th Wedding Anniversary. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers: Merle Benjamin, and Vernon Benjamin. Madeline and Norman belonged to numerous camping clubs in the area and traveled throughout The United States together. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Joan Pease and Richard Keefe III of Lorton, VA; son and daughter-in-law: Gerald and Joanne Pease of Keuka Lake, NY; grandchildren: Jennifer and Dr. Charles Scheetz of Falling Waters, West Virginia and Dr. Jack Keefe of New York, NY; great grandchildren: Colin and Ian Scheetz; grand dog; Bella; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. It was Madeline's wishes that there be no prior calling hours. A Private Gravesite Service for the family will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY where Madeline will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Norman.
