Donald J. Zahorian age 82 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday September 13, 2025. Donald was born July 11, 1943 in Elmira ,NY the son of the late Joseph Zahorian and Kathryn Drake Zahorian . He was a long-time communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads and a retired employee of The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He loved bowling, camping, and playing cards . He married his wife Susan Rudnicki Zahorian on October 22, 1983 and they would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on October 22, 2025. In addition to his parents Don was pre-deceased by his brothers-in-law Patrick M. Hicks on Tuesday July 3, 2012 and Don Hetrick . He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife Susan ; his sisters and brother-in-law: Rita Hetrick of Lake City , Florida and Joyce and Bob Swackhammer of Bath , NY ; sister-in-law ; Ellen (Mrs. Patrick) Hicks of Elmira, NY; several nieces, nephews , grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. It was the family's wishes that there be no prior calling hours. Donald was laid to rest in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
