Alexander R. Clawson Jr age 83 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday September 21, 2025. He was born November 21, 1941 in Collegeville, PA the son of the late Alexander J. and Catherine Moyer Clawson Sr. Alexander married his wife , Joanne Kreible Clawson, on November 19, 1961 and they would have celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on November 19, 2025. He enlisted in The United States Air Force and served his country for twenty-five years attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant prior the retirement in 1985. Mr. Clawson went to work as a salesman for Gen Tech in Carbondale,PA until his retirement. He and Joanne retired to The Villages in Florida and enjoyed many cruises. He was pre-deceased by his son-in-law James "Jay" Heverly on April 4, 2016. Mr. Clawson loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them . He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Joane Kreible Clawson ; son and daughter-in-law: Alexander R. "Rob" Clawson III and Laure Clawson ; daughter and son-in-law: Jaime Heverly-Slingerland and Chris Slingerland ; grandchildren: James A. Heverly, Jeremiah Heverly, Nicholas & Jenna Clawson, Emma Clawson and fiancé Austin Dzik , and Annika Clawson; great granddaughter: Elizabeth Clawson; brother and sisters-in-law: Jack and Betty Clawson of Gilbertsville, PA and Jim and Sharon Clawson of Wisconsin; several nieces, nephews , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Gravesite Memorial Services on Monday October 20, 2025 at 1 PM at Bath National Cemetery.
