Danny Joe Houston age 76 of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Sunday April 12, 2026. Danny was born February 1, 1950 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Harvey Houston and Jane Hornbeck Houston. He was pre-deceased by his wife Verna M. Howe Houston on December 12, 2021 , his daughter April Allison on December 27, 2020, grandson Jonny Joe Allison, granddaughter Erica Mae Andrews , and grandson Dustin Mico Andrews. Danny was a taxi cab driver for Totem Taxi for several years. He was also a Life member of The Southport Fire Department. He loved putting models together, cookouts with his kids, and hanging out at his daughter Angela's house. Danny's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and he treasured the time he spent with them. Danny is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Mico Andrews of Horseheads, NY ; son: Raymond L. Houston of Missouri; grandchildren: Alexis Andrews , Raymond Carl & Emily Allison , Tony Rae & Nicole Allison, Miejylous T. & Alicia Deese , and Connor; seven great grandchildren ; brother and sister-in-law: Bill & Sue Houston of Colorado; sister: Susie Longman of Kansas ; aunt Sharon Hornbeck of Wellsburg, NY ; several aunts, uncles , nieces, nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. A Celebration of Danny's Life will be held at The Southport Fire Department 1001 Carl Street Elmira, NY 14904 on Saturday April 18, 2026 at 1:30 PM.
