Donna S. Matison age 84 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Saturday May 30, 2026 at Corning Guthrie Hospital. Donna was born January 25, 1942 in Elmira , NY the daughter of the late Donald F. and Myra Giles Smith. She was a graduate of Thomas A. Edison in Elmira Heights , NY. Donna married her husband Carl W. Matison on July 1, 1967 and he predeceased her on July 31, 2011. She was a Telephone Operator for New York Telephone in Elmira, NY prior to her retirement. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Donna loved her coffee and treasured her grandchildren. Donna is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Tricia Matison-Rennells and Ted Rennells and Dr. Joseph and Karena Bifano both of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Nicholas Bifano, Matison Bifano (Kellen Boyles) , Gavin Bifano, Dominic Bifano, Anthony Bifano, Zachary Goodell (Lauren Hayes), Michael Rennells , and her special prince Anthony Allison , numerous extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Sunday June 14, 2026 from 3 to 6 PM. Donna's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM. The Rev. Jeff MacDowell will officiate. Donna will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Carl on Monday June 15, 2026 at 2 PM in Maple Grove Cemetery 715 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY.
