Dorothy J. Tenny (West), age 88, of Brunswick, OH, formerly of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Saturday July 18, 2026. Dorothy was born August 20, 1937, in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Claude West and Flossie Mae McDuffie West.

She was a retired employee of Schweizer Aircraft, in Horseheads, NY. Dorothy loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them.

Dorothy will forever be missed by her children, Darrell (Teddie) Tenny, Daniel (Karen) Tenny, David (Yolanda) Tenny, Sue (Ernie) Bowes; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild on the way; brother, Vincent West, along with several brother-in laws, sister-in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Darrell Tenny, Sr.; son, John Orr; daughter, Denine E. Tenny; and siblings, James, Benjamin, Claude, Lily Mae, Helen Augusta, Alice Marie, Ruth, Grace Virginia, Eraina Darlene, and Frances Irene.

Please join the family for a visitation at the Lynch Funeral Home,318 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY, on Friday July 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Kevin O'Shell officiating. Dorothy will then be taken to Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Darrell Tenny Sr.
