Jerome A. Spirawk age 93 of Elmira Heights, NY passed away on Friday July 24, 2026 at Elcor Nursing Home. He was born on June 12, 1933 in Elmira, NY the son of the late L. Lucille and Samuel Spirawk. Jerry was a graduate of Thomas A Edison High School and attended St. Lawrence University. He was a Veteran of The US ARMY serving until February 1959. He married his wife Mitsuko Tamiya on September 24, 1958 in Tokyo, Japan and she pre-deceased him on October 21, 2014. He was a technician for Time Warner Cable in Horseheads, NY until his retirement. Jerry and his wife Mitzi raised miniature schnauzers and were very active in AKC Canine Obedience Competitions and their schnauzers were awarded several ribbons in their competitions. Mitzi and Jerry enjoyed camping and traveling. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Spirawk and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sister-in-law Ann Spirawk, niece Lisa (Steven) Herrmann of Corning, NY; nephew Michael Spirawk (Peter) of Williamsport, MD; grandniece and grandnephews. It was Jerry wishes there be no calling hours or services. Jerry and Mitzi will be laid to rest at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family.
