Obituary of Philip A. Kuster
KUSTER Philip A. Age 87 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Thursday January 24 , 2013 . Philip was born June 18 , 1985 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Walter and Fannie Little Kuster. He was a graduate of Southside High School in Elmira , NY . Phil was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in both The U.S. Army and The U.S. Navy. He was a member of The Bentley-Trumble American Legion Post # 442 in Horseheads , NY and The Horseheads Rotary Club for many years. Mr. Kuster married his second wife , Phyllis Rae Frampton Kuster , on September 28 , 1963 and they celebrated 41 years of marriage until he passing on October 14 , 2004. Phil was also pre-deceased by brothers and sisters .He loved to square dance with his wife Phyllis and they helped form a club known as The Soaring Twirlers . Phil had been a Boy Scout in his youth and was a long-time Scout Master for many years. He had been a member and Vestryman at Trinity Episcopal Church in Elmira , NY since his youth . Mr. Kuster owned and operated Horseheads Automotive in Horseheads , NY for over thirty years . Mr. Kuster is survived by his children and their families David & Sandra Kuster of Horseheads , NY and their children Missy & Matt Nichols and Kevin & Alizabeth Kuster ; Linda & Raleigh Parrot of Pekin , Illinois and their son Raleigh Parrot Jr. ; Stephen & Charlotte Kuster of Washington , Illinois and their children Brittney , Airen , and Alexander Kuster ; Kristen & Ronald Randall of Gillett , PA and their children Amanda , Allison , James , Phillip , and Samantha Randall ; Constance & Gerald Homan of Chemung , NY ; sisters : Barbara Barden of Sarasota , Florida , Mary Ellen Dewey of Elmira , NY , and Eileen Townsend of Lansing , NY ; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law : Gretchen & Wallace Hunt of Pine City , NY and Winifred Frampton of Pine City , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friend including all of his care-givers . Phil's family would like to thank the many care-givers who attended to all of his needs in his declining years . They granted his final wish , to pass comfortably at home. It was Mr. Kuster wish that there be no calling hours. A Memorial Service celebrating his Life will be held at a time to be announced.
