Obituary of John G. Willett

WILLETT , JOHN G. JR. Age 91 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Tuesday April 14 , 2015 in Fairfield , Ohio . John was born July 2 , 1923 in Elmira , NY the son of the late John G. and Neva Struble Willett Sr. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School . John was a Veteran of World War II serving his country with The U.S. Army and a member of Bentley-Trumble American Legion Post #442 in Horseheads , NY. He married his wife , Jean-Marie Mann Willett , on November 27 , 1947 and she pre-deceased him on December 20 , 2012 after 65 years of marriage . John was a salesman and driver for J.A. Coughlin and Sons Beer Distributor in Horseheads , NY until they closed and was a driver for Liquid Control Systems until his retirement. He was a devoted and loving husband , father , and grandfather and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends . John was also pre-deceased by his brothers Gerald Willett and Edward Willett and by his sister-in-law Marion Grebleski and by his brother-in-law Richard Mann . John is survived by his loving and devoted children Michael J. & Faye Willett of Winter Haven , Florida , Cherry L. & Philip McKinney of Elmira , NY , and Rori J. & Charles Mayberry of Cincinnati , Ohio ; 9 grandchildren : Michelle Willett Chapman & Jerime Chapman , Laura McKinney Snyder & Joel Snyder , Wayne & Kathleen McKinney , Charlee McKinney , Tammy McKinney Youmans & David Youmans , Mary Beth McKinney Kraipovich & Joseph Kraipovich , Rochelle Mayberry , Lance Mayberry , and Blake Mayberry ; 16 great grandchildren : McKaela Chapman , Felicity Chapman , Ethan Snyder , Nathan Snyder , Courtney McKinney , Julia McKinney , Gina McKinney , David Youmans , Caleb Youmans , Malachi Youmans , Elizabeth Youmans , Lillian Youmans , Patrick McKinney , Jadon Kraipovich , Hannah Kraipovich , Emily Kraipovich ; great great granddaughter Hayden Pearce and great great grandson Jaxon King ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Monday April 20 , 2015 from 12 Noon to 1 PM . John's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home following calling hours at 1 PM with Pastor Joseph Chamberlin officiating . Mr. Willett will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Jean-Marie in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Willett .
