Obituary of Richard O. Willsey

WILLSEY , RICHARD O. Age 65 of Elmira Heights , NY passed away on Saturday October 24 , 2015 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center . Rick was born February 12 , 1950 in Corning , NY the son of the late Edward O. and Harriet Bryerton Willsey . He was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country with The U.S. Army . In addition to his parents , Ricky was pre-deceased by his brother David Willsey . Rick married his wife , Jill Beecher Willsey , on July 17 , 1982 and they recently celebrated their 33rd Wedding Anniversary on July 17 , 2015 . He was a avid golfer and enjoyed hunting , fishing , NASCAR , and "Muscle Cars" . Rick was a retired Corrections Officer at The Elmira Correctional Facility . Rick loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Rick is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jill Beecher Willsey and son Christopher Willsey of Elmira Heights , NY ; sisters and brother : Patsy (Carmen) Agosta of Harrisburg , NC , Robert (Debbie) Willsey of Concord , NC , Dawn (Dave) Bauman of Odessa , NY , Lori (Steve) Ellison of Bradford , NY , and Liz Willsey of Patchogue , NY ; sister-in-law : Jane Beecher & Dave Taylor of Harrisburg , PA ; brother-in-law : Jay Beecher of Hudson , Florida ; several aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews, cousins , a host of caring friends , and his beloved canine companion Jack . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Thursday October 29 , 2015 from 5-7 PM . Rick's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM. Rick will be laid to rest in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY on Friday October 30 , 2015 at 1 PM where Full Military Honors will be accorded .
