Obituary of Fannie Mae Steele
STEELE , FANNIE MAE BELL FORESTER Age 93 of Appleridge Apts. in Horsheads , NY passed away on Wednesday February 27, 2013 . Fannie Mae was born August 12 , 1919 in Dimmitt , Texas the daughter of the late Edwin and Gracie Parr Bell. Fannie married her first husband Rev. Alexander Thomas Forester on August 26 , 1942 in Olton , Texas . They were Cumberland Presbyterian Missionaries in Japan for 11 1/2 years while raising their own children . Rev. Forester pre-deceased Fannie on August 27 , 1987 . She married her second husband , Finley Moore Steele , in July 1993 and he pre-deceased her on December 18 , 2010. Mrs. Steele is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law : Kay Forester Stewart & Chuck Stewart of Horseheads , NY ; sons and daughter-in-law : Dr. T. Gary & Marilyn Forester of Fresno , CA and Rev.Tim Forester of Winona , MN ; grandchildren : Jason Stewart and fianc Angela Fetcho, Mark Stewart & Dana Marshall , and Jonathan Stewart & Chay Mae Bailey , Jim & Wendy Forester and their children Brendan and Jorryn , David & Alissa Forester and their children Sydney and Logan , Tommy & Fatimah Forester and their children Mikayla and Kaitlyn, and Beth Forester-LaCrue & Joe LaCrue and their son Caleb . Fannie is also survived by Finley's Family Nancy Steele-Hamme & Parker English of Texas and Connecticut , Susan Steele-Gubitz & Stephen Gubitz of Houston Texas , and Penny Steele-Bliss & Jim Bliss of Glenville , NY ; grandchildren : David & LaRue Hamme , Randall Hamme , Karl & Monica Hamme , Christian & Amy Gubitz , Carrie Gubitz-Paschke & Dan Paschke , Julie Bliss , and Kara Bliss ; great grandchildren : Cheyenne , Steele , Zane , Kross , Elijah , Micah , Cameron , Blake , and Kinley . Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating Mrs. Steele's Life on Saturday March 16 , 2013 at 11:30 AM at The First Presbyterian Church of Elmira 1054 West Clinton Street at Rambler Road in Elmira , NY. The Rev. Betsey Crimmins will officiate. Fannie will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Rev. Alexander T. Forester in Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock , Texas .
