Obituary of Reida Irene Miller

MILLER , REIDA C. Age 91 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Thursday March 3 , 2016. Reida was born November 23 , 1924 in South Corning, New York the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Reasor Crooker. She married her husband, Charles H. Miller Sr. and he pre-deceased her on March 16 , 1998. Mrs. Miller was also pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law Pamela Ann Hozempa Miller on December 26 , 2013 as well as her brother Harold Crooker. Reida loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law ; Charles H. and Alliene Jr. of Freeville, NY , Ronald and LaDonna Miller of Longwood, Florida , Michael J. Miller Sr. of Horseheads , NY , and Jerry and Betsy Miller of Elmira , NY ; daughter : Cindy Thomas of Horseheads , NY ; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren ; sister : Catherine Schwab of Montour Falls , NY; her canine companions Copper , Bug , and Throttle ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Sunday March 6 , 2016 from 2-4 PM . Mrs. Miller's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday March 7 , 2016 at 11 AM. Her grandson Michael J. Miller Jr. and Pastor Mark Erway will officiate .Reida will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Charles Sr. in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY .
