Obituary of Doris E. Borden

BORDEN DORIS E. Age 91 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2016. Doris was born on March 20, 1925 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Stanley and Sarah Alverson Ettenberger. She was a retired Inspector for The Westinghouse Corporation in Horseheads, NY. Mrs. Borden was a long-time member of The Community Wesleyan Church in Horseheads , NY. Doris was pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence Dean Borden on May 23, 1996. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Mertie Ettenberger, Stanley Ettenberger, and Sheldon Ettenberger. Mrs. Borden is survived by her children Sara Phipps of Horseheads, NY , Charles and Sylvia Stansfield of Horseheads, NY , Calvin and Linda Borden of PA , Larry and Judy Borden of FL , Jerry and Patty Borden of Breesport, NY , Charles and Anita Borden of Naples, NY , and Joan and Rick Brotz of Savona, NY ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Jackie (Mrs. Stanley) Ettenberger of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Saturday March 26, 2016 from 11AM to 1PM. Mrs. Borden's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1PM with the Pastor Art Evens officiating. Doris will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Lawrence Dean Borden in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY.
