Obituary of Norma Jean Misson

MISSON , NORMA JEAN Age 89 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Thursday May 12 , 2016 after an extended illness. Norma was born May 7 , 1927 in Elmira Heights , NY the daughter of the late Martin and Lela Miller . She married her husband Robert J. Misson and he pre-deceased her on September 23 , 1990. Norma was also pre-deceased by several sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law , and sisters-in-law . Norma was a bartender at Rosar's Grill , Sonny's Bar , and The Horseheads American Legion in Horseheads , NY . She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them especially bowling and enjoying life. Norma is survived by her daughter and son-in-law : Lauraina & Donald Williams of Sarasota , Florida ; grandchildren : Robert J. & Christina Leonard Sr. of Lockwood , NY and Joseph L. Leonard of Clarion , PA ; great grandchildren : Robert J. Leonard II of Lockwood , NY , Diana Leonard of Corning , NY , Aubrey Leonard and Kristopher Leonard of Clarion , PA ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Misson's Gravesite Funeral Services on Monday May 16 , 2016 at 11 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY .
