Obituary of Kasey Wandell

WANDELL , KASEY "SIS" Age 22 of Elmira Heights , NY went to Heaven to join her grandparents and her beloved Golden Retriever Murphy on Friday July 8 , 2016 . Kasey was born December 2 , 1993 in Elmira , New York the daughter of Gary E. Wandell and Doreen Johnston Wandell. Kasey was a graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School Class of 2012. She played softball , basketball , and volleyball and was a member of the New York State Volleyball Championship Team at Edison. Kasey enjoyed music , dancing , spending time with her friends , and watching beautiful sunsets . Kasey received her Associate's Degree from Corning Community College and just completed her junior year at SUNY Oswego . She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them . Kasey left her "footprint" on your heart and she will be forever remembered by all who knew her . Kasey is survived by her mother and partner Doreen Johnston Wandell and Bob Jamieson of Elmira Heights , NY ; her father : Gary E. Wandell of Horseheads , NY ; brothers : Devin E. Wandell of Elmira , NY and Derik Wandell and his fiancé Amanda Keith of Elmira , NY ; maternal grandmother : Frances Johnston Chopak of Troy , PA ; paternal grandmother : Janice Foster of Troy , NY ; several aunts , uncles , cousins , extended family and many many friends. Friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on WEDNESDAY July 13 , 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Kasey's Funeral Services and Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday July 14 , 2016 at 11 AM . Kasey will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY.
