Obituary of Terrence A. Ostrander

OSTRANDER TERRENCE "TERRY" A. Age 63 of Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016. Terry was born on September 7, 1953 in Elmira, NY the son of the late John "Turk"and Mary Philbin Ostrander. Terry was the owner of Turk's Produce and Flower Market in Horseheads, NY since 1977 when his father retired. Turk's was started by his father in 1953. Terry was a kind and generous man who enjoyed being part of the community. He loved classic cars and drag racing and animals . At one time he thought of opening a zoo . Terry loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Terry is survived by his wife Kathy Hardy Ostrander; sons and daughters-in-law: Terry A. and Jennifer Ostrander Jr. of Horseheads, NY; Tim and Dannielle Ostrander of Horseheads, NY; Thomas Ostrander of Big Flats, NY; Ted and Michelle Ostrander of Big Flats, NY; several grandchildren ; sisters and brothers : Mary Margaret of FL, Jean of TX, Charles of NY, Susan of FL, Luann of TX, and Andrew of FL; several nieces , nephews , cousins and many many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday November 11, 2016 from 4-7 PM for a Time of Remembrance and Reflections of Terry's Life. In Lieu of Flowers those wishing may remember Terry through donations to the American Cancer Society.
