Obituary of Dale Barnes Locke

LOCKE , DALE BARNES Age 79 of Elmira Heights , NY died as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Friday December 2 , 2016. Dale was born May 5 , 1937 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Charles and Louise Barnes Locke. Dale was a U.S. Navy Veteran . He married his wife , Hilda Marie Lisk Locke , on June 20 , 1958 and she pre-deceased him on November 11 , 2007. Dale was also pre-deceased by his brother Duane. He was a member of The Oakwood United Methodist Church in Elmira Heights , NY and was an Amateur Radio Operator who's Call Sign was KC2MPS and was a member of the Chemung County Amateur Radio Emergency Service Group. Dale was also a member of The Chemung County Auxiliary Police. Mr. Locke is survived by his children : Raymond E. & Rebecca Locke of Horseheads , NY , Betty & Fred Baldock of Painted Post , NY , Douglas & Stephanie Locke of Erin , NY , and Cheryl Locke of Elmira , NY ; sisters Margo Thomas of Elmira , NY and Roberta ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dale's Gravesite Services on Friday December 16 , 2016 at 1 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira , NY where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Locke.
