Obituary of Elizabeth Lucile Adams

ADAMS ELIZABETH L. (WIDMER) Age 92 of Painted Post, NY passed away on Monday January 2, 2017 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers. "Betty" was born on August 14, 1924 to the late Carl and Lucile Widmer of Naples, NY. She graduated from Naples H.S. and the University of Rochester (1946). She was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) A. Adams in 2007 and is survived by her children , Nancy (Ken) Hodge of Delmar, NY and Bob and (Debbie) Adams of Big Flats, NY. After marrying Bob in 1946, they moved to Painted Post where they raised their family and worked for the Corning-Painted Post City School District. Both retired from the District in 1978. Betty spent many of her retirement years volunteering her time at the local American Cancer Society, The Painted Post United Methodist Church, traveling and spending time with grandchildren. It was her request that her body be donated to the University of Rochester's Medical Dept. for research and organ donation. At her request, there will be no memorial services. Those wishing to memorialize Betty should do so through the United Church of Painted Post or donating to a charity of your choice.
