Obituary of Hugh Scott Eddy

EDDY , HUGH SCOTT Age 51 of Millerton , PA formerly of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday April 14 , 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital as the result of injuries suffered in a fire accident on February 26,2017. Hugh was born August 30 , 1965 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Carlton H. and Lois Ann Swan Eddy. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class of 1983. Hugh was the Head Mill Operator at Swift Glass Company in Elmira Heights , NY prior to his accident. He loved to fish and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. Hugh was pre-deceased by his father Carlton H. Eddy on September 1 , 1995 , his mother Lois Ann Swan Eddy on March 24 , 2006 , his sister Candy Lynn Countryman on July 7 ,2000 , and his brother-in-law Edward Williams on December 4 , 1993 . Hugh is survived by his sisters and brother : Barbara & Ralph Mitstifer of Cayuta, NY , Carlton W. Eddy III of Breesport , NY , Wendy Allen of Breesport , NY , and Sandy & David Collins of Pine City , NY ; his loving companion Karen Cole of Millerton , PA ; his loving and faithful dog Champ and his cat Kat ; uncle and aunt : Gordon & Mary Jane Swan of Plainsville , Ohio , several nieces, nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Wednesday April 19 , 2017 from 5-8 PM. Hugh's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday April 20 , 2017 at 11 AM. Hugh will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY next to his parents Carlton & Lois Ann and his sister Candy.
