Obituary of Catherine D. Schwab

CATHERINE D. SCHWAB Age 101 formerly of Elmira , NY passed away on Sunday December 10, 2017 at Seneca View Nursing Home . Catherine was born October 15 , 1916 in South Corning, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Myrtle Reasor Crooker . She was also pre-deceased by her husband Elmer C. Schwab on May 9 , 2007 and her sisters and brother Mable Hollenbeck , Reida Miller , Marie Jacque , and Harold Crooker . Catherine was a former cafeteria worker at Corning Glass Works for many years. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Catherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law : JoAnn Schwab & Jim VanDerpoel of Horseheads , NY ; brother-in-law and sister-in-law : Arthur & Catherine Schwab of Fair Oaks , CA ; Mary Bradshaw of PA; several nieces and nephews and her caregiver Mary Crossley of Elmira , NY. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the entire staff of Seneca View Nursing Home for their loving and compassionate care given to Catherine during he stay. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Wednesday December 13,2017 from 1-3 PM. Mrs. Schwab's Funeral and Committal Services will be held following calling hours with Rev. Robert Stuart officiating. Interment in Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin , NY.
