Obituary of Steven E. Lackey

STEVEN E. LACKEY Age 65 of Beaver Dams , NY passed away on Wednesday January 10 , 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester , NY . Steve was born November 8 , 1952 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Edward J. and Marion V. "Peg" Prutsman Lackey He was also pre-deceased by his grandson Carter Lackey and by his brother Greg "Corky" Hodges . Steve had worked at Ann Page in Horseheads , J.A. Coughlin & Son Beer Distributors in Horseheads , was a retired Corrections Officer from NYS Department of Corrections in Elmira , NY . He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed playing softball for Beef Eaters in Horseheads , NY. Steve is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law : James and Brittany Lackey of Athens , PA and their daughter Alayna and a son due in two months , and Christopher Lackey of Elmira , NY ; brothers and sisters-in-law : Gary F. & Joanne Hodges of Florida , Terry Lackey of Sodus Point , NY , Bruce & Mary lackey of Wayland , NY , and Rick Lackey and his fiancé Kim Baldwin of Elmira , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Tuesday January 16 , 2018 from 1-4 PM. Steve's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4 PM with Rev. Scott Lowmaster officiating.
