Obituary of Sarah C. Austin

SARAH C. "SALLY" AUSTIN Age 98 passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born August 22, 1919 in Richmond Township, Tioga County, PA the daughter of the late Harold and Hazel Warters Cleveland. Sally married her husband Raymond D. "Butch" Austin and he pre-deceased her on December 16 , 1979. She was also pre-deceased by her daughter Barbara Austin Bixby Wolcott, her grandchildren Kevin Austin, Scott Bixby, Rodney Scriven, Stacia Wolcott, Cynthia Bixby; her brother and sisters George Cleveland, Janice Husted, Nancy Smith, Connie Heller, Betty Jane Evans. Sally was a retired employee of Westinghouse Corporation in Horseheads, NY with over 35 years of dedicated service. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Horseheads. Sarah loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sarah is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law : Gerald & Mary Jane Austin of Breesport , NY and David & Sheila Austin of Horseheads , NY ; grandchildren : Brian (Erin) Austin , Andrea (Fran) Palumbo, Ronald (Lauren) Bixby , Linda Scriven , Larry (Sherry) Park , and Kimberly (Jeff) Kelly ; great grandchildren : Kevin and Conner Austin , Jackson , Adrian , and Adeline Palumbo , Aaron , Abbi , and Emma Kelly , Riley Park , Amanda (Dan) Talvi, Elizabeth and Alex Bixby , Sarah Hollenbeck ,Theresa Snyder , and Monica Bixby ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the Family. Mrs. Austin will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Raymond D. "Butch" Austin in Glenwood Cemetery in Troy, PA.
