Obituary of Kathy L. Robertshaw

ROBERTSHAW Kathy L. Age 58 of Hornell, NY, formerly of Elmira Heights, NY passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Kathy was born July 27 , 1954 in Elmira , NY the daughter of the late James Russell and Sarah Leonard Petticrew . She married her husband , George L. Robertshaw , on November 21 , 1973 and they would have celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary this year. Kathy was very dedicated to all Veterans and was a member and Past President of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 2250 in Hornell , NY. Kathy had worked at The Elmira Heights School District for many years. She was presently a Day-Care Provider at her home . Kathy touched so many people with her infectious smile and loving heart and she will be missed by all . In addition to being pre-deceased by her parents , Kathy was pre-deceased by her great grandson Carter and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Bertha and George Robertshaw. Kathy loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Kathy is survived by her loving and devoted husband George L. Robertshaw ; her loving children : Billie Jo Robertshaw Doell of Canisteo , NY , James C. & Bobbie Jo Robertshaw of Hornell , NY , Larry Jack & Becky Robertshaw of Elmira , NY , Kathy Jo & Timothy Hunt of Yukon , OK , and Bobbie Jo Brillhart of Elmira , NY ; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren ; sister and brother-in-law : Jacqueline & Joseph Manning of Pine City , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday July 26, 2013 from 11 AM-2PM. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Hornell will conduct a memorial service at 2 PM. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. James Radford Officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery Horseheads, NY. The Family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may remember Kathy through memorials to The Bath Veterans Administration or Cancer Aid & Research.
