Obituary of Mark J. Dolan

MARK J. DOLAN Age 60 of Horseheads , NY passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday April 21, 2018 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Mark was born November 24 , 1957 in Elmira , NY the son of the late William E. and Eunice Dolan. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School and attended Bucknell University and SUNY Potsdam . Mark was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing,especially with his son Andrew. Mark retired from The Elmira Fire Department , having attained the rank of Captain. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Mark is survived by his son : Andrew Dolan ; sister and brother-in-law : Laura and David Jessick of Elmira , NY ; nieces : Lindsey Jessick and her fiance Larry Burroughs of Norman , OK and Amanda Jessick of Saranac Lake , NY ; a multitude of friends including his best friends for 45 years Mike Thomas,Pete Frank,and Joe Wolf along with the members of The Elmira Fire Department. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Friday April 27 , 2018 from 4-6 PM . Reflections and Memories of Mark's Life will be shared at the conclusion of calling hours.
