Obituary of Waneta J. Hartsock

WANETA J. HARTSOCK Age 85 of Millport, NY passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2018 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Waneta was born August 19, 1933 in Potter, NY the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Clark. She married her husband Gordon E. Hartsock Sr. on October 11, 1951 and they celebrated would have celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary on October 11, 2018. Waneta was pre-deceased by her sons Larry Hartsock on July 10, 1979, Gerry L. Hartsock Sr. on December 14, 2010 and Gordon E. Hartsock Jr. on September 27, 2016. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers Richard J. "Dick" Clark and William Clark and her sister Marilyn Grady. Waneta was a retired bus driver for The Horseheads Central School District. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Waneta is survived by her loving and devoted husband Gordon E. Hartsock Sr. ; sons and daughters-in-law: Terry & Marty Hartsock, Paul Hartsock , and Mark & Skip Hartsock all of Millport , NY ; daughter and son-in-law : Michelle & Roger Hartman of Horseheads, NY : daughter-in-law: Loretta Masin Hartsock of Montour Falls , NY ; sisters and brother-in-law : Linda Daily of Geneva , NY and Helen & William "Bud" Jensen of Lansing , NY ; sister-in-law : Pat Martin of Roanoke , VA ; several grandchildren , great grandchildren , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Tuesday September 4, 2018 from 6-8 PM. Waneta's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. Chip Possee officiating . Waneta will be laid to rest in Millport Cemetery.
