Obituary of Weston O. Jayne

WESTON O. JAYNE Age 97 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Thursday September 20 , 2018 . He was born October 29 , 1920 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Orlie and Rose Rathbun Jayne . Weston was a Veteran of World War II serving his country with The U.S. Army Air Corps have attained the rank of Second Lieutenant . He married his wife Betty Hill Jayne and they recently celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary . Weston was a retired Structural Engineer having worked at U.S Steel. In addition to his parents , Mr. Jayne is pre-deceased by his children Wendy Jayne Bailey , Rev. Dr. Timothy Jayne , and Robert Hill Jayne. Weston is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Betty Hill Jayne ; son-in-law : William Perry Bailey III of Johnson City , TN ; grandchildren : William Perry Bailey IV and Elizabeth Jane Bailey ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Weston's Funeral Services on Saturday September 29 , 2018 at 10 AM at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY . The Rev. John Ford will officiate . Mr. Jayne will be laid to rest in Addison Cemetery in Addison , PA at the convenience of the family.
