My Condolences to the family. Charlie and I were neighbors for 36 years and attended the same church. I always looked forward to his beautiful singing of "HIS eye is on the sparrow". It was not unusual to find Charlie crouched down in his garden, lighting fireworks for the 4th of July. We sat on our front porch every year to watch his sneaky light show. Every summer, Charlie would blow on a blade of grass between his thumbs to make that yearly shrieking sound. When my boys were older, they learned to answer Charlie with the same, only for Charlie to summon another echo shriek.
Rest in peace Charlie, you will certainly be missed by many. You have left an imprint in many hearts♥
