Obituary of Linda M. Palmer
Linda M. Palmer age 76 of Pine Valley, NY passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Linda was born December 31, 1944 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late William Charles Rose and Frances Iola Durham Rose. She married her husband, Robert S. Palmer Sr. on February 25, 1967 and they would have celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary on February 25, 2021. Linda received her Associate's Degree from Corning Community College in Mechanical Engineering and received her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Binghamton. She worked as an abstractor for Monroe Title Company in Elmira, NY for several years and also worked for Oil and Gas companies in the area. Linda loved painting, antiquing, quilting, reading, collecting buttons, photography, and sales of all kinds. She was associated with Market Street Antiques in Corning, NY. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister Marcia Kellogg. Linda loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert S. Palmer Sr.; daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Henry Forrest of Kalamazoo, MI; son and daughter-in-law: Robert S. Palmer Jr. and Robin Palmer of Pine Valley, NY; grandchildren : Micah and Dawn Forrest, Rachel Forrest and Nicholas Taylor, Kayla and Joshua Carpenter, Brian Forrest, Mandy Rudy, and Mark Sempler; 8 great grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law: Thomas and Laura Rose of Wellsboro, PA and GA , Marilyn (Mrs. Charles) Dayton of Pine Valley, NY, Jackie Roberts of Simpsonville, SC , and Joyce Shutts of Pine Valley, NY ; several nieces, nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends. A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 1 to 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda's name may be made to Food Bank of The Southern Tier 388 Upper Oakwood Avenue Elmira, NY 14903.
