Obituary of Anthony T. Cavaluzzi

Anthony T. "Bouncer" Cavaluzzi age 80 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021. Tony was born March 29, 1940 in Elmira, NY the son of the late James and Margaret Emanuel Cavaluzzi. He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy Class of 1960. Tony married his wife Charlotte A. Bonning Cavaluzzi, on October 22, 1966 and they would have celebrated their 55h Wedding Anniversary this year. In addition to his parents, Tony was pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters James Cavaluzzi, Richard Cavaluzzi, Grace Rhode, Sally Cuyle, Anne Marie Stuart, and Dee Dee Cavaluzzi. "Toner" was an avid bowler and loved playing golf , the New York Yankees , and New York Giants. Tony loved working on his home and had a fantastic sense of humor. Tony was retired from Hardinge Brothers Inc. and was a communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Tony is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Charlotte; son and daughter-in-law: Anthony E. "T.J." and Tamara Cavaluzzi of Ruskin, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law: Shelley and Ritch Hollenbeck of Erin, NY and Nicole and Cory Kurtz of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Nicholas Cavaluzzi, Nathan Cavaluzzi , Madison Kurtz, and Kamryn Kurtz; brothers and sisters; Joseph Cavaluzzi of Alabama , Rita Lattari of Elmira, NY , Edward Cavaluzzi of Elmira Heights, NY , and Sharlene Huntley of Horseheads, NY; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law : Judy and Bob Husick of TN, Patti and Don Frederick of Ohio, and Thomas and Fawn Bonning of TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 3 to 6 PM at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY. Tony's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM with Rev. John DeSocio officiating.
