Obituary of J. Lorraine Donald
J. Lorraine Donald age 91 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday March 26, 2021 at Bethany Manor in Horseheads,NY. Lorraine was born July 8, 1929 in Elmira Heights, NY the daughter of the late William and Margaret VanDemark Erickson. She was a retired employee of Eclipse/Bendix/Purolator Motor Components in Elmira Heights, NY. Lorraine married her husband Frank Charles "Chuck" Donald on December 29, 1972 and he pre-deceased her on January 2, 2010. She was also pre-deceased by her grandson Patrick Check, brothers and sisters Robert William Erickson and Marlene Erickson, Joan and Stanley "Steve" Platko, Ralph and Theresa Erickson, Lawrence and Joyce Erickson, and Roland Erickson as well as step-daughter Caryl "Tammy" Donald and brother-in-law Carl J. Donald. Lorraine loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Lorraine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Alice Check of Beaverton, Oregon; grandchildren: Candice Check, Nolan Check, and Aubree and Michael Munoz ; brothers; William and Alice " Pudge" Erickson of Elmira, NY and Gary and Carol Erickson of Big Flats, NY; step-sons and daughters-in-law: Frank C. and Corinne Donald Jr. of West Allis ,WI , Christopher S. Donald and Erin Moore of Wayne, MI , and John Donald of Rome, PA ; several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces , nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Mrs. Donald's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Pastor Doug Pearson officiating. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank Charles "Chuck" Donald in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
