Obituary of Robert T. Ievers

Robert T. Ievers age 71 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born March 14, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of late Robert T. and Helen Walsh Ievers Sr. He received his bachelor's degree from Queens College. Bob married his wife Carol E. Shanahan Ievers on July 7, 1973 and would have celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary this year. He retired as a Project Manager from Social Security Administration in Corning and Elmira, NY. Bob loved painting, especially landscapes, and was an avid swimmer and woodworker. He was also pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Martin Moran, on June 16, 2016. He loved his family and friends and treasured the times spent with them. Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years Carol E. Ievers; his children: Robert and Sherri Ievers III of Quakertown, PA; Michael and Gretchen Ievers of Caldwell, NJ; and Lisa Ievers of Cedar Knolls, NJ; grandchildren: Carissa, Sean, and Colin Ievers of Quakertown, PA; Kellen, Marin, and Shea Ievers of Caldwell, NJ; sisters and brothers-in-law: Maureen and Glenn Granger of Spencerport, NY; and Kathleen and Dennis Farrell of Fairport, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday July 9, 2021 from 3-6PM. A time of Remembrance will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6PM.
