David G. Verbanic age 67 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday July 29, 2021 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born February 15, 1954 in Corona, CA the son of Francis and Shirley Westlake Verbanic. David married his wife, Cheryl A. "Shay" Reynolds Verbanic, on April 5, 1980 and they celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary on April 5, 2021. David was pre-deceased by his father Francis. He was a retired carpenter for Streeter Associates in Elmira , New York. David loved fishing and was an avid reader. David loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. David is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years Cheryl A. "Shay" Verbanic ; daughter and son-in-law: Haley and Kevin Maxson of Elmira, NY ; son and daughter-in-law : Michael and Kristin Verbanic of Penfield, NY ; grandchildren: Thea Maxson and Layne Maxson ; mother and step-father: Shirley Verbanic-Cochrane and Donald Cochrane of Horseheads, NY ; brothers and sister-in-law: Peter Verbanic of Corning, NY , Mark and Pam Verbanic of Hillsboro, NC , and Steven Verbanic of Cohocton, NY ; brother-in-law : Scott Reynolds of Locke, NY ; several nieces, nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends.
