Obituary of Joy D. Baccile

Joy D. Baccile Age 87 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday August 12, 2021. Joy was born January 15, 1934 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Charles and Cecelia Smith Bray. She married her husband , Anthony J. "Tony" Baccile, on October 15,1955 and he pre-deceased her on March 24, 2015. Tony owned and operated Baccile Paving and Landscaping prior to his retirement and Joy was his bookkeeper . She and Tony were long-time communicants of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY. In addition to her parents and her husband Tony, Joy was pre-deceased by her brother-in-law Richard Lenihan . Joy loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them especially taking care of her grandchildren. Joy is survived by her loving children: Alan J. & Kristin Baccile , Gary A. & Yvette Baccile , Gail Sands , Tyrone M. Baccile all of Horseheads, NY, and Dawn & Dr. Alfred Tinger of Yorktown Heights, NY; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Carol Bray of Spartansburg, SC ; sisters and brother-in-law: Cheryl Lenihan of Tonawanda, NY and Donna Marie and Hal Spencer of Olympia, Washington ; sister-in-law: Angela Popovich of Elmira, NY ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Sunday August 22, 2021 from 2 to 6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 23, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church Park Place and West Clinton Street in Elmira, NY. The Rev. Richard Farrell will be the Celebrant of Joy's Funeral Mass. Joy will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Tony in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
