Obituary of Robert E. Nickerson

Robert E. Nickerson Age 86 of Horseheads, NY passed away on October 19, 2021. He was born March 17, 1935 in Penn Yan, NY the son of the late Ira Jack and Evelyn Quick Nickerson Sr. Mr. Nickerson was a Veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Horseheads American Legion and Charter member of the Horseheads Elks Club. Robert retired from Westinghouse/IST as a Technical Illustrator. He loved fishing, spending every summer on Cayuta Lake, enjoyed his trucks and winters tinkering around the house. Mr. Nickerson is survived by his loving wife Mary L. Simcoe Nickerson; sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Jackie Nickerson of Redding Center, NY; Alan and Sarah Cole of Wellsville, NY; Thomas and Mya Nickerson of Pasadena, CA; grandchildren: Grace Cole and Miles Cole; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 2PM. Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Nickerson. Interment in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY.
