Obituary of Mary Ann Stickler

Mary Ann Stickler Age 89 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday December 24, 2021. Mary Ann was born January 27, 1932 in the Town of Catlin, NY the daughter of the late Edward Mathew Besley Sr. and Hazel Elma Stephens Besley. Mary Ann married her husband, Robert A. Stickler, on March 10, 1952 and he pre-deceased her on December 23, 2014. She was also pre-deceased by her daughter Susan Stickler-Shelley on May 14, 2001. Mrs. Stickler was a retired employee of BOCES and served as Union President for National Educators Association and a volunteer for CASA for many years . Mary Ann loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Mrs. Stickler is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law : Robert & Debra Shepard Stickler of Jupiter, Florida and Thomas and Jennifer Stickler of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Erica Stickler Witter and Tyler Witter of Whitesboro, NY , Tyler Sticker of Horseheads, NY , and Heather and Shawn Cervenka of Idaho ; great granddaughter : Ava Witter of Whitesboro, NY ; brothers and sisters-in-law : Ed & Beverly Besley Jr. of Odessa, NY , Harold & Kathy Besley of Ocala, Florida , and George & Patricia Beaver Dams, NY ; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Walker Marvin of Williamson, NY and Mary Fatula of Orlando, Florida ; uncle: Richard Stephens of Elmira, NY ; several nieces, nephews, cousins , and a host of caring friends and special caregiver Debbie Marsh of Elmira, NY. Private Funeral Services will be at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY . Mary Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband Robert in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY at the convenience of the family.
