Obituary of Loretta Ann Levey

Loretta Ann Levey age 78 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center as the result of a fall at home. She was born June 8, 1943 in Rush, NY the daughter of the late Dexter and Geraldine Bodine Barnhardt. Loretta married her husband Vincent C. Levey on March 25, 1967 and he pre-deceased her on July 15, 2003. She was a member of The Community Wesleyan Church in Horseheads, NY for many years. In addition to her husband , Loretta was pre-deceased by her sisters and brother Lucille Baker, Evelyn Henry, June Callaro, and Philip Barnhardt as well as her sister-in-law Mary (Mrs. Larry) Barnhardt and by her brother-in-law Glenn Harkness. Loretta loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Loretta is survived by her son : Shawn Levey of Erin, NY and his sons Jacob Levey and Joshua Levey; daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Bill Pierce of Horseheads, NY, Sylvia and Charles Stansfield of Horseheads, NY , Vinceen and Tom Biddle of Horseheads, NY ; sons and daughters- in-law : Bruce and Dale Levey of Horseheads, NY, Rodney and Wendy Levey of Horseheads, NY; brothers and sister-in-law: Larry Barnhardt, Kenneth and Arlene Barnhardt, and Joe Barnhardt; sisters and brother-in-law: Diane Harkness and Tammy and Lynn Carpenter; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Tillie and James Boyd of Mt. Morris, NY ; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 1 to 3 PM. Loretta's Funeral Services will be held following calling hours at 3 PM with Pastor Arthur Evans officiating. Mrs. Levey will be laid to rest with her husband Vincent in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family.
