Joann M. Brewster Age 62 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Monday February 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Joann was born March 10, 1959 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Richard E. and Joyce Yenger Merrill. She was also pre-deceased by her brother Richard A. "Rick" "Poochie" Merrill on April 14, 2008. She worked at Purolator Motor Components in Elmira Heights prior to her illness. Joann loved spending time at the beach. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them especially her grandchildren. Joann is survived by her husband John R. Brewster; daughter: Michelle M. Brewster of Horseheads, NY; son: Michael J. Brewster and Denise McQuaid of Elmira, NY; granddaughter: Chloe M. Myers; grandson: Lincoln T. Young; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bonnie and Jeff Guinther of GA; Mary and Ed Sophia of Horseheads, NY; and Karen and Steve Sullivan of Rochester, NY; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends including her best friend Sue Dunn, and her niece and caregiver Denise Kirkendall.
